iEARN-Yemen Conducts the Global Connection 2.0 Workshop

In the cooperation with the U.S Embassy, Soul organization (IEARN-Yemen) arranged a workshop for 15 teachers from 5 schools (4 schools from Sana’a city one of them Ar-Rasheed school and 1 from Taiz city). The workshop was in (Global Connection) and it was aimed to increase personal and institutional ties and mutual understanding among students and educators in the United States and the 19 participating MENA countries and to enhance and expand tools and resources for MENA and US educators to use to engage underserved students to develop leadership skills while they explore local and global issues with peers worldwide and to increase the number of MENA and US educators who can equip their students with modern communications and job skills and knowledge to enhance employability and to make positive contributions to their communities. The workshop was presented by Ms. Shaima Al-Raiy iEARN-Yemen coordinator and was attended by Mr. Adam Sigelman the culture affairs officer in the U.S Embassy and Mr. Khaled Qahtan general manager of Ar-Rasheed school and Mr. Saleh Al-Dharab the principal of the boys branch. The workshop has conducted in Ar-Rasheed school’s computer lab during 2 days 9-10/2/2013.
